Exhibit A: Design Group continues its collaboration with an artisanal food brand to ‘elevate the everyday’.
Exhibit A: Design Group has once again partnered with SaltSpring Kitchen Co. to concept, plan, and produce a new suite of product photography. The images highlight how its gourmet jams, preserves, and hot sauces can enhance simple snacks and everyday meals.
This new collection builds on the success of previous campaigns and deepens the brand’s focus on helping customers enjoy food in a more inspired and delicious way.
The latest image series reflects SaltSpring Kitchen Co.’s core brand message of elevating the everyday. Each photo features a product alongside a simple recipe or pairing idea that anyone can recreate at home. The collection encourages customers to see how a single preserve can transform an entire dish. Themes include celebrations, indulgence, social gatherings, and takeout-inspired pairings.
“Our continued relationship with Exhibit A: Design Group speaks to their detail-oriented and collaborative approach,” says Chantal Ireland, Project Lead for SaltSpring Kitchen Co.
“Our marketing, communication, and story-driven goals all came to life thanks to the involvement of the entire production team. The visual narrative feels as natural as the process itself, and it is elevated in the best way.”
Two of the featured products in this campaign are not as widely distributed as others that are sold through grocery channels, but they hold special meaning for the brand’s founder, Melanie Mulherin. One is a collaboration with her sister, a professional chef. The other is a long-standing recipe and personal favourite.
They are sold exclusively through specialty retailers, our online store, and the company Tasting Room. I wanted to give them the attention they deserve,” Ireland explains.
“After writing new product descriptions and creating these new images, we saw a 215 percent sales increase for one product and a 758 percent year-over-year increase for the other. I am confident the difference comes from the images and how well they highlight the product in simple, everyday uses. I was so thrilled to work with Cory and the team to deliver this to the client.”
Exhibit A: Design Group led the art direction for the project. Photography was captured by Makito Inomata, with styling by Christine Montgomery. Both are trusted collaborators who excel at making food feel both aspirational and approachable.
The result is a series of bright, inviting scenes that focus on real food, everyday settings, and easy ways to experiment with flavour.
“Building on our first collaboration, we created imagery that encourages simplicity, curiosity, and approachability,” says Cory Ripley, Principal and Creative Director at Exhibit A: Design Group.

The new content will appear across SaltSpring Kitchen Co.’s online shop, email marketing, social media, internal communication, and vendor support materials. It will also be featured in seasonal campaigns and printed materials, including recipe cards and in-store displays.
