Exhibit A: Design Group celebrates three package design awards in the 2014 GDUSA American Package Design Awards.
GDUSA’s annual American Package Design Awards has awarded Exhibit A: Design Group three Certificates of Excellence in a diverse range of consumer categories.
“Package design plays an important role within the integrated brand programs we create,” says Cory Ripley, Principal and Creative Director of Exhibit A: Design Group. “We know that no matter the category, breakthrough consumer relationships can begin on the shelf. Having each of these projects recognized and awarded within our industry is further proof that the brand packaging we create garners attention.”
For five decades, GDUSA (Graphic Design USA) has sponsored national design competitions that celebrate excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. Of these, the American Package Design Awards, sponsored by Neeenah, is the fastest growing. “The reason is simple but profound: marketers are challenged as never before to convey their message,” says Gordon Kaye, GDUSA Editor and Publisher. “Package design—along with the related disciplines of point-of-purchase design, and in-store graphics—are increasingly the difference maker in the consumer’s purchasing decision. The American Package Design Awards celebrates well-designed graphics, of course, but also the power of design to advance the brand promise and forge an emotional connection with the buyer at the moment of truth.”
Entries in this year’s competition soared to more than 1,800, up 12 per cent from last year. A highly selective one-in-five are recognized with Certificates of Excellence.
This year, Exhibit A: Design Group received recognition in the categories of:

“Our core specialty service is developing successful packaging design through well-defined strategies,” says Ripley. “As a result, we understand how to leverage package design to showcase diverse brands, tell unique brand stories and make emotional connections with varied consumer types.”
